If Happens Again Saturday, We'll Build An Ark

  • On Wednesday, the world's most amazing shower head sprung a leak and water starting shooting out to the ceiling.
  • On Thursday, the washing machine overflowed and flooded the washroom, kitchen and dining room.
  • On Friday (today), the sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher backed up reflooding the kitchen.
If I was a Pisces, I'd be happy to be living in a watery home. Instead, I'm just sick of the tide rolling through my house.

I'm headed to Lowe's for a new shower head. The appliance guy is coming on June 10th to fix the washer. Thankfully, I have a backup washing machine in the garage. Rescue Rooter is on the way to handle the world most revolving job of cleaning the sewer line. (For real. It's a horror. I have no idea how that man can ever feel clean.)

Oh, the fun of home ownership never ends.

  1. Clearly your Lowe's Tax was overdue.

Please to link to most amazing showerhead. I recently replaced my OEM crap showerhead with a double head 5-option thingy, but I'm not doing backflips as a regular part of my bathing routine. Not that there's room, I need one of those hotel bowed curtain rods, but I'd like to want to be that happy in the shower.

  2. Oh so sorry to hear about the bad luck. We are going to have to replace our lateral line that empties the septic water out into the yard. Because it keeps getting full and backing up in every drain and toilet and then on floor. We have had it pumped several times now but keep being told to cut down the trees due to roots growing in the line and replace the line due to it's age. Moni

  3. Ah Moni - that's such a messy bummer. Home ownership is awesome, except when it isn't. Commodes overflowing is definitely in the bummer category.

    Stay dry!
