Fresh!

A photo of my niece's brand-new baby girl, Desi. She's a big, healthy baby - almost 9 pounds. My niece and the baby are doing fabulously well.

Yes, my niece is having children before I am. Apparently, I was skipped by the thing where the women in my family fall in love and have children early.

This snapshot was taken the morning she was born. She still has that new baby look. Desi was born on my Dad's birthday. I was also born on my Grandfather's birthday - so we have some sort of shared birthday coincidence/tradition going on in my family.

I can't wait to go home and meet her. Welcome to the world Desi - your family is crazy in love with you.
